One of the things I did for my Places data was to add a column and use it to hold the Proper version of the all-caps place name found in NAME. I used vbProper in the field calculator to accomplish this.
Big mistake here with the blue. Just too dark. I tried to correct by using white text which is lost in the background. I should have tried a lighter version of the color ramp but just out of time.
